What is wellness?

Signing up for a Wellness Walk is a brilliant start to giving your health a boost. By thinking about your wellbeing and making a few small changes to how we live our lives, we can begin to feel healthier.

Wellness is part of your everyday life. It's about your relationship with your body, your mind and your community. Wellness is for everyone, and if affected by diabetes, it can play an important part in helping you manage it.

Read and make the most of your wellness journal (sent out in the post in your welcome pack) or downloadable from our resources page for tips, advice and activities to reflect on what you're learning as you go.

What to expect during the Wellness Walk

During your Birmingham Wellness Walk you will have the opportunity to experience a number of different wellness moments along the route. You may listen and dance to some music or learn how to walk mindfully. You'll have the chance to rest and recharge and, of course, celebrate your achievement at the end of the walk with your finisher's medal worn proudly around your neck.

Enjoy being part of a community, connected by the same aims - making positive changes for a healthier future and raise money for a world where diabetes can do no harm.
